Applications: FileNet Environment: MS Visio, Rational Rose, Test Director 7.6, TSYS, FDR, MS OFFICE, FILENET PANAGON, HARVEST, TOAD, Tivoli 1.3, Unix. FileNet applications are responsible for digitizing and documenting any correspondence received by the bank from its card members. Emails and faxes are converted to a specific format and stored in a repository. The FileNet applications provide functionality for indexed retrieval of the images. Each of these images is worked on to process the card member request. FileNet applications provide a method of prioritizing and categorizing the work arising from these images. Much of FileNet functionality is logically grouped into workflow that guides advisors through scenarios. Responsibilities: • Developed test plans, test cases and test scripts with Test Director 7.6 using IEEE standards. • Lead and Managed all phases of testing including, Project Plan, Automated, unit, integration, user- acceptance, and regression testing • Scheduled, Run & Verified jobs through Tivoli on Unix servers. • Developed procedures for unit, integration, user-acceptance, and regression testing activities. • Identified, Analyzed and Documented software program inconsistencies. • Established benchmarks for program efficiency in operating and response times. • Worked closely with the implementation group to contribute to the Requirements Definition document. • Provided solutions for systems integration issues. • Coordinated systems integration testing for product development. • Reviewed system logs and reports to identify program processing errors and possible improvements. • Monitored post implementation program performance for efficient software operation. QA Lead Mar 2002 – Sep 2002
  • 5. Applications: IPSource, MPLS VPN Provisioning, IPSec VPN Provisioning, Workflow Manager Environment: Apache Web Server 1.3, Blades, Bugzilla 2.0, CVS, DB Visualizer, J2EE, Java, JSP, LDAP Browser, Linux 7.2, Microsoft IIS, Oracle 9i, Shell Scripts, Solaris, Sparcs, Tomcat Server, TSL Scripts, Ultras, WebLogic Server, Windows XP / 2000, WinRunner, XML, Xserver,WinRunner IPSource is an OSS platform for automated provisioning of IPS service like IPSec Virtual Private Network (VPN), BGP MPLS Layer 3 VPN, and Firewall. It helps service providers to quickly define multiple alternatives for deploying Layer 3 VPN and enables rapid provisioning across multi-vendor networks. In addition, IPSource increases the level of service by assuring greater flexibility, scalability, and rapid redefinition of services. Responsibilities: • Involved in discussions with marketing and system engineering teams to specify customer based requirements and evaluation strategies. • Improved testing methods, process, tools and systems to attain better quality. • Designed test plans, created test procedures and test cases. • Developed WinRunner based test scripts in user interactive mode to automate testing of customized provisioning using GUI. • Tracked results in Test Director and reported the system defects and bugs using Bugzilla 2.0. • Performed data-driven testing for the creation of devices, users, sub-organizations, groups, sites, and access rules with varied input information. • Performed system testing, installation testing, performance testing, user interface testing, and workflow testing. • Created virtual user scripts and incorporated in Scenario. • Used Load Runner to monitor the Middle Tier System performance, database, and server performance. • Created shell scripts for easy deployment of new builds and for starting the application. • Installed and administered Netscape Directory Server and Oracle database on Linux. • Participated in review meetings and team meetings to discuss the issues arising out of testing. • Performed white box testing by figuring out the faulted file name from the exception thrown in the logs, getting the related file from CVS and filing bugs with line number and the exact reason for the failure. • Handled integration testing with every addition of new service and tested every module completely with automated scripts. • Tested and uploaded the VPN configuration on router using TELNET and SSH sessions. • Involved in updating GUI map with every new release by adding new objects, changing the object names and merging old and new GUI maps. • Selected and utilized outsourced testing companies to handle excess workload. MPLS VPN Provisioning is one of the services offered by IPSource, which allows service providers to provision and manage intranet and extranet VPNs. MPLS VPN is a scalable, provider-focused VPN technology that allows service providers to plan, provision, and manage VPN services according to a customer's service level agreement. Responsibilities: • Analyzed components that require more work and scheduled staffing and timing accordingly and also involved in developers meeting to discuss the same. • Maintained quality of the product with proper quality management standards. • Created user interactive TSL scripts, which request for VPN data, wait time, loop numbers and repetition if required. • Automated each segment of MPLS VPN (Groups, Device, QoS, Routing and Encapsulation) with functions and used them in TSL scripts for a complete provisioning.
  • 6. • Automated VPN profile creation for provisioning request using WinRunner. • Measured performance of MPLS service by plotting number of services created as a function of time. • Described scenarios for each applicable test level based on the requirements of the IPSource business process. • Involved in the testing of all the modules for MPLS service using a batch script with every release of a new build. • Used DB Visualizer for tracking the workflow process stored in Oracle database. IPSec VPN Provisioning service delivers a key technology component for providing a total security solution by offering privacy, integrity, and authenticity for transmitting sensitive information over the Internet. It also provides a standards-based, flexible solution for deploying a network-wide security policy. IPSource uses an adapter (driver) through which it works on various vendors. (Cisco and Juniper) Responsibilities: • Performed addition of device configuration by automated scripts in the device module of IPSource. • Implemented TSL functions to help driver selection for each device by prompting a user, random choosing from a list of available driver and selecting service based driver. • Automated different modules involved in IPSec VPN (Devices, NAT, Security Policy, Subnet and QoS) with functions and used them in TSL scripts for complete provisioning. • Performed manual verification on the routers after provisioning every VPN. • Used null and real driver to check the performance of the service manager component. Workflow Manager records all the activities of the provisioning from which any provisioning request can be un-done, scheduled, cancelled, resent if failed and supplements created for faulted request. Responsibilities: • Tested the workflow on WebLogic servers. • Created WinRunner’s TSL scripts for scalability testing. • Created XML files using Templates on UNIX VI editors. • Involved in the automation of custom tools like route audit, ping connectivity, VPN validation, re- groom and splitting of VPN with separate scripts. • Performed cross-platform web testing on Solaris, Windows 2000 and Linux. • Performed manual order history verification of every request for the interaction of driver with each device.
