Case Study: Low cost sensor for pressure gauges

  1. 1. The Approach Sagentia quickly reviewed the potential approaches, concluding that a magnetic sensing technology based on commercially available Hall effect ASICs offered the lowest risk route to a cost-effective product. We continued with a development and prototyping phase that integrated the mechanical gauge with the PCB and casework, and also contributed to a calibration rig that was subsequently used in full-scale manufacture. The End Result The INTELLiGauge met WIKA’s aggressive cost targets and was successfully launched in early 2008. Low cost sensor for a new range of electronic pressure gauges www.sagentia.com
