The text of the title on this short film poster is in big capital letters with conventional colours associated with the horror genre i.e. white representing the supernatural and red representing blood. Particularly the lettering of the word “house” has a blood splatter behind the text clearly indicating to its audience that this is a short horror film. The main picture of the poster is an establishing shot of a house in a remote area i.e. the woods which is a conventional setting associated with the horror genre. This clearly indicates to its audience that this film a short horror film and leaves them asking questions such as what’s in the house etc. The overall colour scheme of the poster is not overly complicated and uses strong dark colours being red, black and white which are mainly associated with horror genre to represent horror and death and seem scary for horror film lovers wanting to watch the film. Also there is a narrative enigma which attracts the audience in to wanting to watch the film even more as the answer to the question is revealed throughout the film normally towards the end and the audience want to know the answer to this question. At the bottom of the poster there is also a list of the cast and crew of the film so they are known in the future allowing audiences to watch other films they may make in the future. This imagery is conventional as the scars, blood and knife are commonly associated props and make up used in the horror genre and makes the film seem more scary for the audience wanting to watch the film. The text of the title is in red lettering representing blood which makes easier for the films audience to know that the film is a horror film and make the film seem more scary for its audience wanting to watch the film. The overall colour scheme of the poster is not overly complicated and uses two main colours red and white which graphically conflict each other in order to emphasise the demonic sprit overcoming the girl and also brings out the blood and scars. There is also a narrative enigma around the inside of the bath in red lettering which attracts the audience even more as it makes them think about the question and wanting to find out the answer to it which is answered by watching the film.
