  3. 3. 1.1 SITE BACKGROUNDTaman Melawati, Kuala LumpurTaman Melawati is located in the north-eastern border of Kuala Lumpur and Selangor. It is aself-contained town that falls under the administration of the Ampang Jaya Municipal Council(MPAJ) but the town’s postcode uses the 53100 code, which falls under the jurisdiction of KualaLumpur area.Taman Melawati is strategically located in the already matured area of Melawati and the nearbyWangsa Maju vicinity that has easy accessibility to reach the Kuala Lumpur city centre via JalanAmpang, Ampang Hulu Klang Elevated Highway (AKLEH), GentingKlang-Pahang Highway,Duta-UluKlang Expressway (DUKE), and Middle Ring Road 2 (MRR2).In addition, the Taman Melawati neighborhood also provides its residents with convenientaccess to public amenities and township facilities such as nearby International School of KualaLumpur (Elementary Campus), public schools like SK Taman Melawati 1, SekolahKebangsaanTaman Melawati 2, SMK Taman Melawati and SRJK (Tamil) Taman Melawati.Taman Desa Setapak, Kuala LumpurDesa Setapak is a residential development in Setapak which neighbors other residential arealike Wangsa Maju, Wangsa Metroview and Taman Bunga Raya.
