manure is not applied but crops
continue to be grown.
Experimental Results
EPA requires that manure be applied no
closer than 100 ft. to any down gradient
conduit to surface water.
Hypothesis
 The use of setback distances for manure
application on cropland areas adjacent to
surface water bodies could serve a
function similar to vegetative filter strips.
