ECONOMIC TALKING POINTS CRE EXECUTIVES REMAIN OPTIMISTIC ACCORDING TO RECENT SURVEY • Law firm DLA Piper released results from its annual survey of CEO executives that showed 60% are “bullish” on commercial real estate. This reading was highest in 2014 at 89%. • The report shows that conditions on the ground are favorable for commercial real estate, and that many did not expect the current up cycle to last as long as it has (over 7 years so far).

ECONOMIC TALKING POINTS NEW CLASS OF RETAIL TENANT ON THE HORIZON - RETURN CENTERS • According to GlobeSt.com, while online shopping is growing, so are the costs and frustrations of consumers needing to return items. Amazon and start-up firm Happy Returns, are looking to locate return centers in retail buildings across the country. • While not a large space-using tenant, these locations will help draw shoppers to malls and shopping centers and maybe even generate some “anchor” effect.
