Live® ECONOMIC TALKING POINTS Upward pricing trend resumes in 2019 according to CoStar • Using data through the end of January ’19, CoStar reports that its equally and value weighted price indices are up 1.4% for the month, representing an upward tick after choppy months. • This report indicates a continued upward momentum of prices and suggests the broader upward trend is poised to continue.

Live® ECONOMIC TALKING POINTS Private Equity Real Estate sees record activity and strong fundraising in 2018 • According to data provider Preqin, Private Equity Real Estate set a new record for deal activity with 6,148 deals closed for an aggregate volume of $325 billion. Additionally, private equity funds raised $124 billion, the 6th year in a row of fundraising activity over $100 billion for real estate. • While Preqin reports that there are concerns over valuations and interest rates, most participants are still bullish and plan on acquiring more properties in the coming years.
