Live® ECONOMIC TALKING POINTS REITs underperform stocks in February but remain up year to date • For the month of February the S&P 500 beat REITs 3.21% to 0.5% as stocks staged a major comeback. Since the start of the year, REITs are up 11.97% compared to 11.57% for stocks. • REITs dividend yield remains at 4.3%, double that of stock. This is just a small reminder of the overall advantage real estate plays in a mixed-asset portfolio.

Job growth is the best predictor of growing commercial rents and values.
