  6. 6. Saudia – 67 years historic high lights Saudi Arabian Airlines started out with a DC-3 given to King Abdul Aziz as a gift by the U.S. President Franklin D. Roosevelt. 1945 Saudi Arabian Airlines is established as a corporation. By Royal Decree signed by King Faisal, the airline becomes an autonomous entity, run by a Board of Directors and chaired by the Minister of Defense and Aviation 1963 Saudi Arabian Airlines adopts a new livery and takes the brand name Saudia1972 An all-cargo route is opened up to Tokyo, Japan as an extension of the Taipei service1990 A new corporate identity is launched: Saudi Arabian Airlines1996 Saudi Airlines Cargo Company is incorporated in April 2008 and starts Commercial Operations from September 2008 under a separate board of directors chaired by H.E. the Director General 2008 Saudi Arabian Airlines becomes a member of the SkyTeam global alliance and re- launches the new corporate identity: Saudia 2012 6

In addition to its freighter services, Saudi Airlines Cargo Company also sells the belly- capacity on 145 passenger aircraft for Saudia Arabia’s flag carrier Saudia spanning a rapidly expanding global network of 225 destinations and provides charter flight solutions from a growing fleet of dedicated aircraft.

  18. 18. 18 Road Feeder Service Saudi Airlines Cargo Company connects to a wide range of destinations not served by our extensive network of cargo and passenger flights through a regional Road Feeder Service:  Road Feeder Services throughout Europe connect major European points with our hub station in Brussels  In North America, New York and Houston hubs connect to all offline points in the USA and Canada  In Saudi Arabia our hub stations in Jeddah, Riyadh and Dammam connect to domestic points, the GCC countries and the Middle East In the Indian subcontinent, Road Feeder Services connect offline airports to our extensive passenger and cargo services throughout the region.

  20. 20. 20 Expanding Fleet Saudi Airlines Cargo Company operates a fleet of 15 freighters consisting of B747F (-8F, 400F and 200F series) and MD-11F aircraft, offering both nose and side loading capabilities to accommodate all types and sizes of cargo. In summer 2013 the airline took delivery of two B747-8F aircraft offering increased capabilities in terms of volume and on time performance.

Exclusively designed to serve all types of post office mail and express mail, this round-the-clock service is available to all destinations on our flight network and beyond. Features: Through a dedicated department taking care of and dealing with all aspects of airmail carriage and handling, this round-the-clock service allows international mail to be delivered within 48 hours, while domestic delivery takes less than 24 hours.   51. 51. CIC's objective is to provide our domestic and international customers with the required information, services and innovative solutions for their outgoing, transit and arrival shipments. The center handles all customer complaints and enquires related to delayed or missing shipments and provides pro-active problem solving services. It will take corrective action to trace and assure forwarding of delayed shipments in domestic and international stations. Moreover, the center will provide contact details for domestic and international GHAs and GSAs upon request. Cargo claim is a written complaint demanding financial compensation from Saudi Airlines Cargo Co. for loss of, damage or delay to cargo whilst in care and control pursuant to a contract of carriage. Types of claims: In order for us to accept a claim, the written request must be submitted before the time limit as shown below: Claims Claim Type Description Time Limit 1 - Loss. Loss of whole consignment . 120 days from the AWB issuing date. 2 - Damage. To consignment whole or in part. 14 days from receiving consignment. 3 - Partial Loss. Loss of part of the consignment. 14 days from receiving consignment. 4 - Delay. To complete consignment or part of it 21 days from the placing date. 5 - Pilferage.
