We were better prepared..
• Adopted a ‘Cloud first’ strategy. Majority of our workloads in the Cloud. Moved to Office
365.
• A global business so already conducted meetings using Skype, BlueJeans or more recently
Teams
• Were using Teams as the preferred collaboration platform and COVID accelerated the
adoption.
• Users connect directly to cloud applications without backhauling network traffic.
• Recently completed a global phishing campaign to cover all users with follow up training
• We were in a relatively good position

Testing
• As the pandemic started in Asia, we could leverage the key learnings to be better
prepared globally
• For each country we tested the remote working capability.
• Stress tested the capacity
• Confirmed users could access the applications they required
• Confirmed the Support Desk could support remotely
• Augmented VPN / Network capacity where needed.
• Today we have over 30,000 active users working remotely.

• Regular local Data backup – One Drive for Business etc.
• Extending your security monitoring to include the remote working.
• User Awareness – Do’s & Don’ts with a focus on remote working. Use
your team as first line of defence.

  • 4. We were better prepared.. • Adopted a ‘Cloud first’ strategy. Majority of our workloads in the Cloud. Moved to Office 365. • A global business so already conducted meetings using Skype, BlueJeans or more recently Teams • Were using Teams as the preferred collaboration platform and COVID accelerated the adoption. • Users connect directly to cloud applications without backhauling network traffic. • Recently completed a global phishing campaign to cover all users with follow up training • We were in a relatively good position 4 DIGITAL & TECHNOLOGY

Testing • As the pandemic started in Asia, we could leverage the key learnings to be better prepared globally • For each country we tested the remote working capability. • Stress tested the capacity • Confirmed users could access the applications they required • Confirmed the Support Desk could support remotely • Augmented VPN / Network capacity where needed. • Today we have over 30,000 active users working remotely. Remote Working – Focus areas • DLP – to protect your data • Multi Factor Authentication – to protect identity. • Ensure secure infrastructure for remote working – regular patching of devices, personal firewalls, Web proxies, encryption, USB etc. • Implement secure tools to help collaboration. • Regular local Data backup – One Drive for Business etc. • Extending your security monitoring to include the remote working. • User Awareness – Do’s & Don’ts with a focus on remote working.
