  2. 2. OVERALL OBJECTIVE <ul><li>Encourage Ifugao farmers to continue maintaining their rice terraces </li></ul>
  3. 3. Specific Objectives <ul><li>To show how SRI can improve farmer’s income </li></ul><ul><li>To train a core of farmer trainers on SRI </li></ul><ul><li>To produce appropriate materials for promotion </li></ul><ul><li>To scale up SRI validation and promotion in the province </li></ul>

Key Outputs <ul><li>275 Ifugao men and women were trained in the principles and practices of SRI </li></ul><ul><li>110 pilot demonstration farms were established (10 per municipality) </li></ul><ul><li>Video documentation and project paper on SRI: the Ifugao experience </li></ul><ul><li>Improved incomes among the trainees and practitioners </li></ul>
