What’s involved? • Create timeline with deadlines – Time is of the essence! • Secure & submit parade registration and fees • Review 2009 program details, success and/or shortfalls & 2010 goals • Review 2010 parade rules & guidelines • Select float vendor, model & general concept; sign contract, pay deposit • Identify potential volunteers (Consulate staff & family, Club1948, others) • Outreach to secure volunteers • Float design & approval • Plan, approve & order attire, printed materials, tsotchkes • Identify exposures & write contingency plan • Volunteer communications & get together • Final float approval and logistics • Smile and wave!
