PUBLIC SERVICE AND HUMAN RESOURCE MANAGEMENT: ACHIEVEMENTS AND THE WAY FORWARD FOR SERBIA Key Findings of the 2019 SIGMA Monitoring Report in the area of Public Service and Human Resource Management 10:00 – 13:00, 3 October 2019 Belgrade, Serbia The event will bring together high-level representatives and officials from various Government bodies and civil society organisations, as well as representatives from the European Commission and the EU Delegation to discuss the current challenges and priorities in the area of public service delivery as part of Public Administration Reform implementation in Serbia. 09:30 –10:00 Welcome Coffee and Registration 10:00 – 10:30 High-level opening: the way forward in implementing the ongoing civil service reforms in Serbia • Mr. Branko Ružić, Minister of Public Administration and Local Self- Government of Serbia • Mr. Yngve Engstroem, Head of Cooperation, Delegation of the European Union to the Republic of Serbia • Dr. Gregor Virant, Head of SIGMA, OECD 10:30 – 11:00 Presentation of Key Findings and Recommendations: SIGMA 2019 Monitoring report in the area of Public Service and Human Resource Management Primož Vehar, SIGMA 11:00 – 11:40 Interactive discussion*: the key enablers for successful implementation of civil service reform. Moderated by Milena Lazarevic, CEP 11:40 – 12:00 Coffee Break 12:00 – 12:50 Interactive discussion*: tools and capacities needed for modern human resource management. Moderated by Milena Lazarevic, CEP 12:50 –13:00 Conclusions, closing. * Interactive discussion rounds will focus on the way forward in continuing improvement of public service and human resource management in Serbia, stimulating peer-to-peer exchange and paving the way for finding common ground in the key topics to focus on. The participants will work together in smaller round tables, guided by the moderator. The working languages of the event will be English and Serbian. Simultaneous interpretation between these two languages will be provided.
