What is EMC? <ul><li>Ensures that the device neither causes, nor is susceptible to electromagnetic interference </li></ul><ul><li>Emission – unwanted generation of electromagnetic energy </li></ul><ul><li>Immunity – correct operation of the equipment in the presence of electromagnetic disturbances </li></ul>

Why is EMC important? <ul><li>It is essential part of product quality and safety </li></ul><ul><li>Enables the product to carry “CE mark” </li></ul><ul><li>Declaration of conformity required for placing products on harmonized EU market </li></ul><ul><li>Conformance testing required for other markets as well (e.g. FCC rules in the USA) </li></ul><ul><li>Adopting of EU EMC directive in Serbia </li></ul>
