I live in Brighton, UK, and work as an
integrated marketing manager for Elekta at
their UK office. Elekta is a Swedish company
and they have one of their main offices in
Atlanta.

What do you do today?

I’ll have to say the Lucia Gala that we
organized. It was the main event and project of
my internship, a great evening, and I learned so
much in the process.
What is your best memory when you
were a trainee at SACC Georgia?

Why did you apply for this traineeship?
I finished my bachelor’s at Uppsala University in the
spring of 2017 and wasn’t sure what I wanted to do
after graduation—all I knew was that I would love to
go to the U.S. As a massive country music fan, I was
excited to see that SACC has positions open in
Atlanta and I decided to apply.

I still have some connections to Atlanta since I
work for Elekta, and one of their main offices
is located in Atlanta. Currently, we’re actually
doing some filming there which I’m running
from the UK.
Do you have any connections to Atlanta
today?

What advice would you give to
prospective interns?
Take every opportunity that you’re given. Say
yes and put the effort in—it’s worth it! I got my
current job through a SACC Georgia contact
who saw my work for the Chamber and later
introduced me to the right people at Elekta.

What’s your role at Elekta?
As an Integrated Marketing Manager, my aim is
to ensure that our product communication
is cohesive and easily accessible, and
understandable to our audience. We want them
to recognize Elekta and each individual product
no matter where or how they interact with us.

The company has been the leader in precision
radiation medicine for almost 5 decades. Elekta is a
medical device company that manufactures
radiotherapy solutions for cancer care and brain
disorders. It is a Swedish Company based all over
the world.
