Whatever reasons you may have, quitting your job is still not an easy decision and takes a lot of consideration to make before putting it into action. Truth is, it will have a huge impact on your life, so don’t be too hasty and give yourself time to think about it. However, if you have already made up your mind, do things in order and then quit because the actions you will make before quitting will affect your future career. If you leave a bad impression behind, it will surely follow you to your new job. There is no need to worry because there is a step by step approach to quitting your job in the most peaceful manner. 1. Decide – quitting your job now will not guarantee a better life in the future. You might stop experiencing the things that made you leave your job but that doesn’t mean it won’t happen in your next job. Remember that you will meet a different set of challenges so before you change jobs, make sure that this is the right decision. 2. Check your finances – make sure that you are ready when you quit your job. It means that when you are out of job, you will have to apply for another one. You need to secure your finances while you are looking for a new job to sustain you for the few months that you won’t be receiving any salary or else, apply for a new job while still employed but do it in the most discreet manner without hurting the relationship you have with your current boss. 3. Render your notice – finish all the tasks assigned to you and delete all your important files from the company computer or move them to your email. 4. Protect your health –keep paying for your insurance even if you are out of job to make sure that you are protected no matter what happens. 5. Exit peacefully – don’t let your emotions rule your head because you might be tempted to get even with your boss who has done you wrong a couple of times. Do not give in to this. You are a true professional and remember that any spiteful acts or comments you make will only reflect poorly on you. Changing Jobs and the entire process of quitting may be hard but if it’s the only thing that can save you from a difficult situation, then do it. These 5 steps will help you and guide you all throughout so you will have a better understanding of what you are getting yourself into. Impress your Boss Quietly Personal impressions inside the office mean a lot to our professional life because this is how we are judged by our colleagues and most especially by our boss. Wouldn’t it be nice to go to an office setting wherein we are judged purely based on our work ethics and our capacity to deliver a job well done at the end of the day? Well, that is not entirely the case. If you have dreams of getting a promotion as well as keeping your job, impressing your boss is the way to go. If the economy is down but you are constantly on his “apple of the eye list”, it can be a deciding factor on whether to keep you or let you go. That is how important making a good and lasting impression is. Even when your boss fails to look over his shoulder, giving your best shot at all times will eventually show how you are as an employee because you will be evaluated on a monthly basis. It would be a big plus if you have a clean record. How to achieve that and impress your boss altogether? Here are the following tips:

Go to work at least 10 to 20 minutes early to give you time to clean your desk, create your schedule, answer your emails and make yourself a cup of coffee to set the right mood before you start working. 2. Always practice power dressing – put on a show and dress well because people who are nicely dressed are usually perceived as better workers and hold higher positions in the company. Play the part of who you want to be, it will be fun. 3. Stay professional – value your work ethics, stay professional by leaving all your personal issues at home. Avoid talking to colleagues about how your husband cheated on you or your child brought his new girlfriend home. Work is work; don’t bring negative vibes inside the office. 4. Time Management Tips You Wish You Knew Before If only time management was taught in school, we would already have known how to handle our time wisely and manage our busy schedule. However, that is not the case, because most people in the world today don’t even know how to create their daily schedule as well as to prioritize their tasks in order to finish them on time. There is nothing wrong with this just as long as you can meet your deadlines. The only thing you need to worry about is the pile of unfinished work that has accumulated as the days go by leaving you a few hours left to accomplish them. This is when stress starts to build up inside you. You can get by a little stress from time to time, but it is much better if your stress doesn’t exceed its limit. Let us put an end to this dilemma and start living a responsible life; a life that will let you accomplish your tasks at work on time and still have time left to spend it with the people who matter most to you, your family. Here are some time management tips that you can apply in your life today: 1. Wake up early – a successful person wakes up early every day. He has time to eat breakfast with his wife and kids, arrive in the office at least 20 minutes early and has time to drink his coffee. 2. Plan your day – write down the highlights of the day, what needs to be done first and what can be done at the later part of the day. Learn to prioritize the more important things in your busy schedule. 3. Be religious – follow your schedule religiously so you won’t get caught up in unnecessary events inside the office. Take your breaks on time and schedule your phone calls. 4. Keep busy –let your calls go straight to your voicemail and answer them later. Use the early part

Avoid unnecessary talks – some colleagues may start talking about someone in the office; avoid this because this is not part of your schedule. 6. Put your gadgets away –blackberries and iPhones need to go inside the drawer because notifications from your phone may interrupt your work from time to time. 7. Clean your desk –always clean your desk when you go home, create your schedule for tomorrow and finalize it in the morning. These 7 useful tips will help you manage your time effectively and will create a balance between your work and your personal life.
