Saudi Arabia is a land of contrast and paradoxes. It
boasts super modern cities but strict religious
connections
. The kingdom of Saudi Arabia comprises most of the
Arabian peninsula in south west Asia
. The Java Launch is located in the RED SEA PORT
of JEDDAH
Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA), is the largest Arab
state in Western Asia.
There are 20 million Saudi citizens and 5 million
foreigners living in Saudi Arabia
The politics of Saudi Arabia is an absolute
monarchy which follow the rule of Islam.
They follow the typical Islamic rules very seriously.
Saudi Arabia has an huge amount of oil channels,
Which makes stronger economy
The government control all over the major economic
activities.
The petroleum sector effect there whole economic revenue.
Arabic is the official language of
Saudi Arabia.
They take their responsibility
quite seriously of their families.
Women discrimination is the
major problem of Saudi Arabia.
 They follow Islamic rules.
 Under Saudi law, all female must have a male guardian, typically a
father, brother or husband.
 They have to take permission for:
 marriage and divorce;
 travel, if under 45;
 education;
 employment;
 opening a bank account;
As women are not allowed to work in all professionals.
Tourist should have to know the Saudi laws, and
punishment are also applicable to them.
To start a restaurant where men and women both can
come but under the Islamic law.
They provide different entrance gate.
They provide them good quality of food and beverages
which is allowed by Islamic law.
. Ordinary market research can be difficult in Saudi Arabia
for example cant rely on family focused interviews because
of customs limiting male female interactions.
In this case researchers managed to interview Saudi
families by getting permission to approach them in
restaurants.
Four partners opened the java lounge an upscale
250 seat establishment in 2003.
They chose city of Jeddah because it was port and
such it enjoyed more contact with foreigners and
was less conservative than much of the countries.

female accompaniment must use a separate

 According to Islamic law alcohol drinking is a crime if someone
drink it in the premises of lounge it affect its bussing.
 Their licence may be cancelled.
 So the take hard managerial step on it…
 Like serving timing during the time of ramdan.
 Pokémon games may encourage un-Islamic practices.
 Face of women should not be displayed on any consumer product as
well as in home.
 Any beauty product should not have the face of any modal.
 Many company adjust their products because of this rules…
 Like : McDonald’s , insurance companies, star bucks.

They try to minimize woman discrimination, which is good
for their own business.
They respect the culture and social values of Saudis.
They control and coordinate their staff in accordance to
particular culture.
 Woman start think about their future.
 The impact of magazines and newspaper spread across the area.
 Legal rules has been rendered according to the situation.
 Logical ability and the mental power of workers rapidly grow.
 The working ratio increased day by day.
 The outcomes are unpredictable and people become happy.
 This show the impact of year 2003.
Before starting a business in any country we should know
the cultural environment particularly…..
Because success of a business depend upon the consumer
behaviour and culture.
 Finally the owner of java lounge also realized that as more Saudis
interact with foreigners and the country strives for economic growth
there will be changes in domestic cultural and social values.
 The planning and strategy of java’s are good enough because they
able to get success in business as well as the help to minimize the
social problems.

The java lounge adjusting to saudi arabian culture

  • 1. Saudi Arabia is a land of contrast and paradoxes. It boasts super modern cities but strict religious connections . The kingdom of Saudi Arabia comprises most of the Arabian peninsula in south west Asia . The Java Launch is located in the RED SEA PORT of JEDDAH

  • 3. Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA), is the largest Arab state in Western Asia. There are 20 million Saudi citizens and 5 million foreigners living in Saudi Arabia
  • 4. The politics of Saudi Arabia is an absolute monarchy which follow the rule of Islam. They follow the typical Islamic rules very seriously.
  • 5. Saudi Arabia has an huge amount of oil channels, Which makes stronger economy The government control all over the major economic activities. The petroleum sector effect there whole economic revenue.
  • 6. Arabic is the official language of Saudi Arabia. They take their responsibility quite seriously of their families. Women discrimination is the major problem of Saudi Arabia.
  • 7.  They follow Islamic rules.  Under Saudi law, all female must have a male guardian, typically a father, brother or husband.  They have to take permission for:  marriage and divorce;  travel, if under 45;  education;  employment;  opening a bank account;
  • 8. As women are not allowed to work in all professionals. Tourist should have to know the Saudi laws, and punishment are also applicable to them.

  • 20.  Woman start think about their future.  The impact of magazines and newspaper spread across the area.  Legal rules has been rendered according to the situation.  Logical ability and the mental power of workers rapidly grow.  The working ratio increased day by day.  The outcomes are unpredictable and people become happy.  This show the impact of year 2003.
  • 21. Before starting a business in any country we should know the cultural environment particularly….. Because success of a business depend upon the consumer behaviour and culture.
