ROTARY YOUTH EXCHANGE | 13 What is GPI? • A survey that measures how students develop cultural competency in three key areas • GPI was developed by experts in global education evaluation • The GPI has been modified specifically for Rotary’s Youth Exchange program Cognitive Development Interpersonal Development Intrapersonal Development CULTURAL COMPETENCY

  15. 15. ROTARY YOUTH EXCHANGE | 15 Measuring student impact with GPI How it works: 1. Student takes a survey before they leave 2. Student takes another survey after they return 3. Rotary International will analyze the data 4. Districts with five (5) or more participating students receive a report with aggregate data pertaining to their district GPI
