Renovation Volunteer time was significant Over $10,000 was raised and spent during renovation on local businesses and contractors (electrical, plumbing, etc) Installed a professional quality Walker Display System for exhibiting artwork The main floor, front section is now fully renovated Back portion of main floor (up the four steps) and upstairs have not been renovated, but mostly require only clean-up

Highlights & Activity Grand Opening in late December of 2009 Performances began in January 0f 2010 13 performances in the Hall during the first quarter (10 free admission, 3 ticket) 3 Gallery shows during the first quarter 15 performances and 3 shows during the second quarter of 2010 (12 free admission, 3 ticket) Open mic music and poetry nights each month Gallery open on Tuesday and Saturday from 1-4:00 pm
9. IbiyankaAlao Nigerian Art Ambassador Won the prestigious United Nations International Art Competition amongst 61 countries One day only exhibit Featured his artwork and authentic Nigerian food

Community Raised $375 for families of local servicemen Armed Forces Day show benefited local servicemen Raised money for Dream Come True Nazareth Community Band able to practice rent-free A theatre student received funds to attend a summer program Working with VIA of the Lehigh Valley to find an employment position for Andy Weaver Paintbox Art Club now uses the Center for their meetings Conducting a joint art program with the YMCA Co-conducted the Kazoo Parade with the Chamber
11. YMCA & The Center Launching an Art Class program in conjunction with the YMCA Courses will be designed by the Center and taught at the Center for both members and non-members of the YMCA Program will begin in the Fall
12. The Thrill on the Hill Brown Daub Chevy of Nazareth is sponsoring our major fundraiser taking place at the Nazareth Borough Park Amphitheatre August 29, 2010 beginning at 2:00 p.m. $5 per ticket or you can pick up tickets in the showroom for free Event features Tyler Grady’s band Wailing Waters, Magic Bean, and Jimmy and the Parrots Family friendly summer music event with proceeds benefiting the Center

The Saturday Showcase Series The sounds of the Series range across folk rock, psychedelic 60's music, classic American singer/songwriter music, country, blues, acoustic rock, classical, and experiential guitar Each show ticket is $10 and a series 12 ticket pass is $60, which can be used 12 tickets at one show, one at 12, or however the user would like to split it up

Closing Remarks The Center has and will continue to support and partner with other community organizations and individuals who are experiencing a time of need The Center offers artists and performers with a venue where they can showcase their talent Having the Center improves the quality of life for people in the community by providing a wide range of quality, free and low-cost, high value entertainment The people attending events at the Center are exposed to the stores and restaurants in the downtown area

Final Comment A vibrant downtown area is critical to our community The Center is a destination venue drawing people from throughout the Lehigh Valley into our downtown and to our shops and restaurants The more successful our existing businesses become, the more new restaurants and shops we’ll see start-up We are an economic development tool for the borough, whose by-product is improving the quality of life for the community!
