They can click on the inclusion(s) of interest, which takes them through to a lead capture page...  Subscribers can then update their auto-populated personal details, fill out the questions advertisers wish to ask (in Symantec’s example (below), employee size and industry sector) – and click ‘Submit Request’... The disclaimer underneath the ‘Submit Request’ button allows advertisers to add each lead into a marketing automation or CRM system, giving permission for further lead nurturing efforts by email, phone and post.

We encourage marketers to use this opportunity to drive an already engaged and relevant audience onto a ‘secondary’ message – for example, a landing page for upcoming events, pre-recorded or future webinars, free trials, product demonstrations, or a library or whitepapers, guides and eBooks...
