Feature of Youth: Young, Dynamic Enthusiasm -> A strong felling of interest and enjoyment
about something and an eagerness to be involved in it. Energy,
Vigour: -> Physical or mental energy and determination / strong & healthy. Youthful
appearance, look complexion.
What is Career?

A career includes all the roles you undertake throughout your life - education, training, paid and
unpaid work, family, volunteer work, leisure activities and more.
"Career" was traditionally associated with paid employment and referred to a single occupation.
In today's world the term career is seen as a continuous process of learning and development.
Activities that contribute to a career can include:
training ,education, employment, work experience, community activities, enterprise activities,
employment, different life roles, volunteer work, leisure activities
Career Choices
Making the best career choices involves:

 taking initiative and being enterprising
 planning and organisation skills
 self-management skills, including time management skills
 ability to learn and understand quickly
 ability to use and adapt to new technology.
Future job markets
When you are planning your career consider which skills will be in demand in the future.
Currently there are shortages in jobs that require technical and trade skills such as electricians,
bricklayers, carpenters, chefs and more. There are also shortages in nursing, accounting and
health.

Why Was Jesus a Carpenter?
Jesus was a carpenter by trade. He picked up tools and made things. Jesus learned a craft
and worked just like the others in his community.
“Isn’t this the carpenter?” some asked in Mark 6:3. Jesus could have worked in another
occupation, such as a physician, priest, scholar, soldier, fisherman or shepherd or even an
earthly king. But, why did Jesus choose to be a carpenter?
Carpenters make things of utility and value. The carpenter does the work and the object
in his hand yields to his design. Carpenters have a plan. They take what is common and
make it special.
Carpenters are builders and this is what God the Father wants us to understand about his
Son—Jesus Christ is a builder.
Jesus builds in the natural and the supernatural, in the material and the spiritual. Jesus
built the universe. Colossians 1:16-17 tells us Jesus created all things whether “in heaven
and on earth … visible or invisible.” The passage reads:
For by him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible,
whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things were created by him and
for him. He is before all things, and in him all things hold together.
What Jesus creates, he sustains: “In him all things hold together.”
Today, Jesus is building you, me, and every Christian. There is no person who cannot be
improved by the work of Jesus Christ in their life. We are in his hands and under
construction at all times and his plan is to make us more like him.
Much of Jesus’ construction takes place where we spend most of our time, and that is at
our jobs and in the workplace. God can use the circumstances and events in your work-
life to change you for the better. He is sovereign over your successes and your failures.
Jesus can bring good out of every situation you will ever experience.
Paul declares in 2 Timothy 2:15:
Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a workman who does not need
to be ashamed.
As a Christian, you are as one approved. Jesus saved you and is working in you now so
he can work through you later. When you show up to work—Jesus shows up to work.
