  • Generally the wireless systems may fall into one of the two categories: The one that is designed for the replacement of existing signal cables and the other one that is mobility oriented, that is, can not be replaced by the wired systems. As the WPAN system is originally designed for the interconnection of personal handheld devices, instead of providing wire replacing data connection like WLAN, the nature of WPAN decides that it is more suitable for the mobility oriented ad hoc communications. However, when the high rate wireless link is available in the WPAN, the cable replacement for the multimedia EC device is also suitable for the Mesh-WPAN.
