The db photometer is the first commercially available through dual-beam filter photometer. A primary
attraction of any photometric analyser is it’s low cost. The compromise is usually performance. By
adding the dual-beam feature, the performance drop in comparison to scanning spectrometers is
lessened. Though inexpensive, this photometer has a flexible configuration that meets many online
analysis requirements for liquid and gas process streams.

The Viscometer: we have a range of on-line viscosity analysers for various applications. They corre-
late with the corresponding ASTM laboratory standard measurements. As well as measuring New-
tonian fluids we also have special capillaries that enable us to handle non-Newtonian samples.

The VISCO-VP is a new generation of in-line viscosity meter. The VISCO-VP is a torque -oscillating vis-
cosity meter, which measures the drag of a fluid at the surface of the sensor. The sensor oscillates at
its resonance frequency, and the amplitude of the vibration is muted as the viscosity increases. The
viscosity can be calculated out of the energy required to keep the amplitude constant.
Depending on the process fluid and application, there are various models VISCO-VP for the required
measurement range and accuracy.
We also have the VISCO-FT: this is a flow-through model, in which the process fluid flows through a
straight tube with no bend restrictions The sensor can be produced in a variety of materials such as
polycoated for aggressive fluids. Advantages: proven in many applications and installations, no moving
parts (torque-oscillating), robust, no maintenance required, fast and accurate measurement, suitable
for low and very high viscosity.
Applications: Chemical, petrochemical, pharmaceutical, food industry. Other applications are possible
with fluids such as: acrylic fibres, textile fibres, black liquor, condensed milk, darcon, lycra, gelatine, PET,
resins poly-isobutyls and printing ink.
The in or online refractometer is a process refractometer and measures concentrations based on
the refractive index of an infrared light beam going from a sapphire prism into the process liquid.
The unique optical principle of the refractometers is patented.
The refractometer has a sensitivity of up to one thousendth of a per cent and is highly stable.
An optional continuous ultrasonic cleaning systems prevents any coating of product on the surface
of the measuring prism not adding water, steam or any chemicals into the process liquid.
Advantages: the analyser can measure very low concentration variations at high precisions. The
measurement is not influenced by temperature variations or fixed particles in the process liquid,
by pressure variations, opacity or other interferences. An unique and patented ultrasonic cleaning
system prevents coating of the measuring prism.
Applications: Food and Beverage: measuring soft drinks and juices, beer, applesauce, syrups, al-
cohol-distillation processes, etc. Chemical and Petrochemical: Teflon plunge bath, PVA, ammonia,

meassurements. The principle of operation is
as follows. A reel of paper tape impregnated
with lead acetate is exposed to the gaseous
process sample in the sample chamber. Hy-
drogen sulphide (H2S) in the process sam-
ple reacts with the lead acetate, after acidifi-
cation, to form lead sulphide (PbS), a brown
compound that stains the tape.
The higher the concentration of H2S the dark-

These analysers are extractive online gas analysers dedicated to continuous emission monitoring
(CEM). It covers applications like DeNOx systems on power plants, generators, chemical plants,
petro-chemical plants, or biogas reactors.
They are based on UV spectroscopy that brings a higher sensitivity and stability than infra-red
systems and also gives the possibility to measure several gases simultaneously, example: NH3,

The WATER ANALYSERS, based on a modular concept, allows to monitor simultaneously many

Mainly based on UV spectroscopy, well known for its stability and low operating cost, the
