  • Rod,
Absolutely, as I feel the Business Yacht may be a great venue for the visualizing business environment. It lends to these applications nicely.

I thank you for your elaboration

  • Ali,
I have not previously thought about the boundary line between the Red and Blue Oceans. My short answer is if ever there was a boundary between the Red and Blue Oceans, the boundary would be a 'fluid' one (pun intended). On the Business Model Yacht, however, I have used the colors of the Red and Blue Oceans for the sails of the yacht. This does not mean though that the Red and Blue Oceans are on the yacht. Such a visualization would negatively influence understanding of the 3 engines of the Business Model Yacht. From another perspective, your comment raises an important point in that the Business Model Yacht can be used as a graphic organizer for visually documenting, organizing, and managing information about a project. Still, I would not refer to the sails as the Red and Blue Oceans. I hope that you find some value in these statements.

  • Rod,
As I am probing at this late hour on the graph a question popped up. Is the boundary line between the two oceans a straight one? Or, is it a fuzzy one? A fractal one, meaning it is infinite?
I don't claim I know the answer. The idea just occurred to me and I am going to ponder on it.
