Richard early man’s tools

 1. 1. By Richard
 2. 2.

Early man generally used tools to find and get food. Some of them made their own some just used tools like sticks they find on the ground. Tools are used even now and without tools we wouldn’t be able to survive.

 3. 3.

Austrolapithecus afarensis lived 2 to 1.5 million years ago. They didn’t make tools, they used tools they found on the ground. They used zebra fangs to hunt small animals and they used stones to kill animals. They also used twigs by sticking them in an anthill and pull it out covered in ants.

 4. 4.

Homo habilis lived from made their own tools for scraping, cutting and chopping. Though they could not make fire they used branches from forest fires to start fires. They made shelters from branches.

 5. 5.

The homo erectus existed from 1.6 million to 80000 years ago. They knew how to make fire and they knew hot to make spears and traps. Although they didn’t make metal tools they only used stone tools. They also hunted better because they could cooperate with each other and so they hunted in groups.

 6. 6.

The homo sapiens lived from 133000 to 32000 years ago. They were taller and stronger than modern humans. We think they might have a religion because they buried the dead and they were excellent hunters. They slept in caves and they were very smart. Nobody knows how they went extinct. There are many different theories. Some think that they died of a disease and some think that the cro magnons wiped them out.

 7. 7.

The cro magnons 100000 to 10000 years ago. They were very cooperative and could easily kill a mammoth . They did not farm but they were very knowledgeable in fishing. They invented the bow and arrow and the fish hooks and needles were made from antlers. They could make paintings and they made clothes and jewlery. They could make rafts and canoes and they mostly lived in Europe.

 8. 8.

The homo sapiens sapiens or modern humans knew how to farm and they are living from 10000 years ago to now. We have so many tools now that there are too many to list. There are some that are very important to us though like computers, kitchen appliances, bathroom appliances and many different types of weapons.

 9. 9.

Not only have humans evolved but tools have with them from twigs on the ground to army tanks. It is strange how fast new tools keep coming out. In just 10000 years we have more tools than any hominids and most have lived for more than 10000 years.
