Graduate Coach for the Multiliteracies Center
Along with coaching undergraduate and graduate students in composition and
rhetoric, have also developed and executed dissertation writing groups,
workshops, and bootcamps. Promoted the efforts of the Multiliteracies Center
through advertising via digital and static flyers, newsletters, and created a
monthly newsletter detailing upcoming events and news. Networked with other
departments such as career services, the campus bookstore, STEM
departments, and other writing centers in an effort to collaborate and promote
student-centered activities and maximize student resources both in college and
beyond. Redesigned the Multiliteracies website for accuracy as well as for a
more current and innovative feel. Other duties performed are available upon
request.

Graduate Teaching Instructor – First-Year Composition
Taught a one-two course load comprised of twenty students per class from a
perspective of Writing about Writing in a student-centered classroom, while
reflecting the all-too-important principles of textual/contextual analysis, civic
engagement, and technology as a tool for engaging, creating, and manipulating
rhetorical texts.

Instructor – Human Intelligence Gathering
and Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear Preparedness
Instructed candidates on methods of gathering intelligence from human
sources, as well as how to react to and prepare for deployment and exposure to
weapons of mass destruction through implementing PowerPoint and utilizing
example materials, such as video and photographs, as well as personal field
experience.

Scholastic Art & Writing Awards, South Central Pennsylvania Area 2015 – Present
Juror
Blindly adjudicated elementary and high-school-student submissions in the
areas of humor and poetry based on the criteria of originality, technical skill, and
the emergence of a personal voice or vision, scoring them based on a
predetermined scale. In particular cases, where the criteria were exceeded,
nominated submission for the American Voices Award.
