  • About Richard Baker is Professor of Clinical Gait Analysis at the University of Salford, Manchester, England. His major interests are in the use of instrumented gait analysis and biomechanical modeling to understand walking in health and with pathology and to support the management of people with limited walking abilities. He completed his PhD from the University of Dundee, Scotland and moved shortly afterwards to manage the Clinical Gait Analysis Service at the Musgrave Park Hospital in Belfast. Following that he was appointed to an equivalent position at the much larger Hugh Williamson Gait Analysis Service at the Royal Children’s Hospital in Melbourne.
