3. Kid Cudi on his Change from Rap
to Rock
Kid Cudi is giving up on his rap career.
Stated by Cudi he says " I'm just not feeling
rap anymore. Man on the Moon 2 was fun
but rap is just not fun anymore for me. I like
making the hooks for songs not rapping in
them. When I made my first real rock song
Erase Me I was really feeling it."
5. WZRD hits and Their Inspiration
Kid Cudi is taking everything he has including his
experiences and putting it into this album. "High Off Life"
alludes to triumphantly overcoming a well documented drug
addiction and "Upper Room" finds him in a serene space,
"Love Hard" and "Efflictim" detail his struggles with matters
of the heart. Despite the artist sporadically bordering on a
cocksure vanity and a few glaringly ill-advised ideas such as
"Dr. Pill" (which personifies therapeutic medication), his
musical explorations make for an interesting journey overall.
6. Cudi's music isn't the only Change
....HE'S STOPPED SMOKING WEED
Before After
7. Kid Cudi is continuing his rock
career by making movie tracks.
This year he makes an appearance on the official The
Hunger Games soundtrack. Titled “The Ruler and The
Killer” the song was produced by Kid Cudi and is track 4
on the upcoming soundtrack due out March 20th.
