RhondaK Florida Folk Artist Part 1 Florida Folk artist features funny bar signs she enjoys selling.
I sell a lot of signs that are classics and some I make up as I go. All hand painted. http://www.rhondakwrites.com . No stencils. Many on found wood.

This is Sadie the sales pug. When you’re a street artist, it helps to have backup!

I Love Putting together a mix of sign sayings and styles . The top sign is a piece from a dock that was taken down on Bird Key. It used to be in Robert’s Bay. I have a few signs from this “found wood.” In additional to being water worn, they also have visible roots and plant life in the painted sign. This one reads: Beach House NO shirt, shoes, problem Life is short, Break some rules ( not ours) BYOB Paradise Ain’t Cheap
Custom Pets & More

I love doing custom pets in my folk styles. This is my own Sales Pug, Sadie. Reads: BEWARE … PUG Can’t hold it’s LICKER. This original piece sold at Coquina Beach as a gift for a pug lover in January 2008.

My Best Selling Sign is the CAT LADY—I do this custom.

I have done many of these signs. I use an image of the actual “cat lady” and add her cats. This makes a fun one of a kind gift. Though I’m out there on the street hustling FREE BEER TOMORROW…I’m mixing in original work in my own personal folk hand painted style. All my work is signed.
