  1. 1. <ul><li>Launch Firefox </li></ul><ul><li>Select tools>fireftp </li></ul><ul><li>from the Tools menu </li></ul>Start Fireftp: Using FireFTP for file transfer Create an Account: <ul><li>Click the Account drop-down list </li></ul><ul><li>Choose Create an Account </li></ul><ul><li>(Account Manager will display) </li></ul><ul><li>Fill in: </li></ul><ul><ul><li>Account Name </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>Host </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>Login </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>Password </li></ul></ul><ul><li>Click OK to proceed </li></ul><ul><li>Your account will appear in the Account drop-down list </li></ul>Initiate a File Transfer (upload): <ul><li>Click Account drop-down list </li></ul><ul><li>Choose your account </li></ul><ul><li>Click the Connect button </li></ul><ul><li>Select file(s) and/or folder(s) to upload in the local pane </li></ul>Local pane Account Manager Tools menu Account drop-down list Account drop-down list Note: To locate FireFTP elements visually In the FireFTP user interface, see the FireFTP Interface Reference at the end of this Job Aid

Initiate a File Transfer (download): Using FireFTP for file transfer <ul><li>Select destination folder in the remote pane Click Upload button </li></ul><ul><li>Your upload will complete and your files will appear in the remote pane </li></ul>Remote pane Initiate a File Transfer (upload cont’d): <ul><li>Click Account drop-down list </li></ul><ul><li>Choose your account </li></ul><ul><li>Click the Connect button </li></ul><ul><li>Select file(s) and/or folder(s) to download in the remote pane </li></ul><ul><li>Select destination folder in the local pane </li></ul><ul><li>Click Download button </li></ul><ul><li>Your download will complete and your files will appear in the local pane </li></ul>Note : If you fail to connect, or your files fail to transfer, contact your system administrator Remote pane Local pane Upoad button Download button Account drop-down list
