  25. 25. Facebook Technical Program Manager ● I did the Technical Phone Screening and I did well. ● They stopped the process for a Software Engineer due to my preference to be TPM. ● I got rejected as I don’t have enough TPM experience.
  26. 26. Facebook Planned attrition As a side note, Facebook allows their employees to look for different opportunities inside the company once they stay for at least 2 years in their current role. I call it “planned attrition”, as they know attrition will be faced, but they keep it as least painful as possible.

Microsoft Referred as Software Engineer Switched to Technical Program Manager ● I did pretty well on the Technical Phone Screen. ● Before scheduling the in-house interviews, they stopped the process for a Software Engineer due to my preference to be TPM. ● I didn’t do well in the Technical Phone Screening for TPM due to my lack of experience.
  28. 28. Amazon Started the process for both SDE and TPM roles ● I did pretty well on the Technical Phone Screen. ● The recruitment manager reviewed my resume and stated that I can fit to the TPM role. ● I will do in-house interviews for TPM in May.
