EXPERIMENT 2: ICSI Technique cristina.hickman@bostonplaceclinic.co.uk 02079930870 • Which ICSI events need to be controlled to maximise embryo viability? • Two embryologists independently assessed the videos of 108 individual ICSIs from 17 patients • Average age = 39.4 years cycle number =2.8

  23. 23. Conclusion cristina.hickman@bostonplaceclinic.co.uk 02079930870 1. This preliminary assessment suggests that the ICSI injection events observed do not affect fertilisation or embryo morphokinetics 2. Equipment / Practitioner did not affect time to reach cell stages from two cells to hatching blastocyst 3. ICSI equipment can have an effect on i. EMBRYO DEVELOPMENT: I3 embryos two times more likely to be selected for transfer than IntegraTI i. MORPHOKINETICS: I3 longer CC2 than IntegraTI 4. This study not only validates the I3 as performing at least equal to the established IntegraTI system, but also demonstrates that ICSI equipment can have an effect on embryo morphokinetic development
