  4. 4. 4th Technology-Business Networking Event HABITAT, CONSTRUCTION, ARCHITECTURE & CERAMICS DESCRIPTION OF THE PROJECT • Background: Wastewater treatment plants (WWTPs) in the EU generate everincreasing amounts of sludge waste. The mining industries also generate large amounts of sludge waste from the process of washing extracted aggregates. Both sludges are produced in large amounts and need innovative and environmentally friendly valorization processes. Abstract: Valorization of sludges from wastewater treatment plants (WWTPs) and from the production process of aggregates, through their transformation in lightweight aggregates, with application in the construction and soil remediation sectors Cerámica Innova 4: From research to market
