  5. 5. Tips ▣ Know your customer. Where are they? ▣ Choose 1-2 platforms to focus on for 6 months. ▣ Ask yourself - what can you effectively and quickly execute? ▣ Set a strategy for each platform and stick to it. ▣ Reassess adding or switching platforms after trial period.
  6. 6. Tricks ▣ Don’t know your customer? Use social media to ask! (Run tests on all platforms for 1-2 weeks at a time to see what gets the most engagement.) ▣ Great guide on social demographics https://www.spredfast.com/social-media-tips/s ocial-media-demographics-current ▣ Use a scheduling tool like Hootsuite, Buffer, or Sprout Social to plan out your 6 months.

It’s important, especially if your resources are limited, that you’re focusing your social media efforts in places that will generate the most return for your efforts.   8. 8. Myth #2 I Have a New Product Launch or Event. As Soon as I put it on Social Media, Traffic and Sales will be Automatic.
  9. 9. Tips ▣ Develop many days / weeks / months worth of content to announce a new product or event. ▣ Social media is a 2-way highway. Engage with your audience through your posts. ▣ Use your clients/customers’ posts. ▣ Remember, it takes time. Lots of time. ▣ And consistency. ▣ Posts should include lots of content other than promotions/sales.

  13. 13. Tips ▣ Dedicate at least 1 hour per week to planning. ▣ Dedicate at least 2 hours per week for engagement (best if a little bit each day.) ▣ Be purposeful and plan ahead. It shouldn’t be an afterthought. ▣ It’s okay to leave space for last minute inspiration or move planned posts if something comes up you want to add to your que.

Tips ▣ Personally/ Professionally keep your profile up-to-date and strive for a 100% score. ▣ Connect with people in your field or a field you are pursuing. ▣ Publish articles and share your articles on other social platforms. ▣ 60/30/10 rule - 60% content from others, 30% from yourself, 10% promotional
