    4. 4. 2012 Highlights in Review• AB178- Degree Broker -clarify the law to require "degree brokers" to have an undergraduate degree with either a major or a minor in real estate. Status- Signed into law.• SB1220 – Transfer Tax- Wanted to impose a transfer tax in the form of a point of sale document recording fee. Status-C.A.R. negotiated the removal of the transfer tax at point of sale.
