2. I am part of a lost generation

3. and I refuse to believe that

4. I can change the world

5. I realize this might be a shock,
but

6. „Happiness comes from within“

7. is a lie, and

8. “Money will make me happy“

9. So in 30 years I will tell
my children

10. they are not the most important
thing in my life.

11. My employer will know that

12. I have my priorities straight
because

13. work

14. is more important than

15. family

16. I tell you this

17. Once upon a time

18. Families stayed together

19. but this will not be true
in my era

20. this is a quick fix society

21. Experts tell me

22. 30 years from now, I will be
celebrating the 10th anniversary
of my divorce

23. I do not concede that

24. I will live in a country
of my own making

25. in the future

26. Environmental destruction
will be the norm

27. No longer can it be said that

28. My peers and I care about
this earth

29. It will be evident that

30. My generation is apathetic
and lethargic

31. It is foolish to presume that

32. There is Hope.

33. And all of this will come
true unless we choose
to reverse it.
