3. BLOCKCHAIN Technology
A paper was published in 2008 by group or an individual known by the pseudonym, Satoshi
Nakamoto gave this ingenious method of allowing digital information to be distributed
across the network, which is encrypted and not required any central authority to validate or
authorize any transactions or business done through its decentralized network. It is now
even considered to be backbone of new type of internet, the web 3.0.
The Blockchain is an encrypted block of information which is added to already created
information, chain together and updated to all its users on its decentralize connected nodes
or block of information serve as digital ledger of any transactions, contracts - It represents
an innovation in information registration and distribution that eliminates the need for a
trusted party to facilitate digital relationships

5. DEFINING Digital Trust
• A Blockchain is a type of digital diary or spreadsheet containing information about
transactions.
• Each transaction generates a hash(string of numbers and letters).
• All transactions are entered in the order in which they occurred. Order is very
important.
• The hash depends not only on the transaction but the previous transaction's hash.
• Even a small change in a transaction creates a completely new hash.
• The nodes check to make sure a transaction has not been changed by inspecting the
hash.
• If a transaction is approved by a majority of the nodes then it is written into a block.
• Each block refers to the previous block and added together make the Blockchain.
• A Blockchain is effective as it is spread over many computers, each of which have a
copy of the Blockchain. These computers are called nodes.
• The Blockchain updates itself every 10 minutes.

consignment. But much of the data is isolated or in different format of registration specially in
multi modal transportation
• Block Chain can help create platform where all the participants gain greater visibility:
instantaneous insight of the shipment at SKU level
• Get the see any hands-off that has taken place: for example, all the information of the points
the shipment touched and especially if the consignment is tempered or switched, (whether
goods kept in optimal temperature, very crucial in food and lifesaving medicines)
• Can embed smart contract, automatically payment methods based on where the shipment is
and what is happening to shipment. For example if carrier unload the shipment to warehouse,
that time both parties get the evidence of delivery and automatic payment method initiated
