  3. INTRODUCTION WHAT IS IOT? • The Internet of Things (IoT) is a system of interrelated computing devices, mechanical and digital machines, objects, animals or people that are provided with unique identifiers (UIDs) and the ability to transfer data over a network without requiring human-to-human or human-to- computer interaction. • IoT has evolved from the convergence of wireless technologies, micro-electromechanical systems (MEMS), microservices and the internet.
  4. WORKING HOW IOT WORKS? I. Devices have hardware, like sensors, that collect data. II. The data collected by the sensors is then shared via the cloud and integrated with software. III. The software then processes the data before sending it to the users via an app or website.
  5. KEY COMPONENTS OF IOT
  6. FEW APPLICATIONS OF IOT • Agriculture • Smart City • Automation • Hospitality and Tourism • Smart home • Supply chain management and many more…
  7. BENEFITS OF IOT Improved productivity of staff and reduced human labor Efficient operation management Better use of resources and assets Cost-effective operation Improved work safety Thorough marketing and business development
  8. IOT & ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE • IoT devices generate a lot of data that can be used to train AI models. • AI can be used to analyze the data generated by IoT devices and provide insights that can help improve business processes. • AI can also be used to automate decision-making processes based on the data generated by IoT devices.
  9. CHALLENGES & CONCERN • IoT Security: By its nature, IoT opens up networks to the possibility of hacking. • Lack of effective and informed government regulations: IoT is a fast-developing area of technology. • Device compatibility. • Bandwidth strain. • End-user challenges. • IoT device management.
  10. FUTURE TRENDS OF IOT • IoT will move into new use cases, applications and adoption scenarios as it converges with other streams of innovation. • The number of IoT devices connecting the world is increasing rapidly and the IoT space is widening its boundaries. • IoT has been one of the basic building blocks in the shift from digitization to digital optimization and digital transformation. • In few years we will see an ever-growing number of devices become smart and connected.
  11. CONCLUSION IoT is a rapidly growing technology that is changing the way we interact with devices. It has the potential to revolutionize the way we live and work, but it also comes with its own set of challenges and concerns. As IoT continues to evolve, it will be important to address these challenges and work towards a more secure and connected future.
