  2. 2. Ciudad Obregon is the county seat of Cajeme, is the second city in size and importance of the State of Sonora (Mexico). It is a city whose main economic activity was agriculture, which is widely performed in the Yaqui Valley is located south of the city, with one of the country's most important irrigation systems.

A LITTLE OF THEIR HISTORY  The origins of this town date back to 1906 when the railway company Ferrocarril Sud Pacific reached this area of ​the Yaqui, this way, it enabled the incorporation of Eastern Yaqui and Mayo to domestic and foreign markets, attracting a wave of investors and settler populations that gave rise to the case of Cajeme.

  5. 5. GEOGRAPHY  It is located south of the state, 50 km from the coast of the Sea of Cortez and 115 km of high mountains (above 1500 m), 240 km far from Hermosillo, the state capital.

  7. 7. NAINARI LAGOON  It is an artificial lake and a family entertainment place where you can practice sports, surrounded by trees and views of beautiful sunsets. This place is located beside the Playground " Ostimuri " which is another family entertainment center , in particular children , here are rides , petting zoo , snack and food stalls .

Our city provides culture and modernity in each of their dishes creating dynamic and flavorful line of our culture .
  11. 11. WAKABAKI  The Yaqui ethnicity, one of the largest of Mexico use of natural elements inherited wakabaki us , a broth that is one of the main traditional dishes prepared on major holidays. Its ingredients are: chickpeas, beef rib , pumpkin , potato, cabbage, carrot and green beans . Its preparation starts with cutting the wood and sacrifice of beef to be served to feed the guests at the feast.

Broth in dish is served or prepared tacos caguamanta , when the broth is served only called Vichy , in some places the same broth with shrimp is known as chucki . Its name derives from the word loggerhead and stingray , originally prepared this dish loggerheads but from the ban on fishing of this marine species , it was decided to replace the loggerhead by stingray meat . This dish was created in the late nineteenth century in Obregon City.
