Introduction to artificial intelligence

  1. ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE Presented by S. Vara Raj Kumar S. V. Chandra Sekhar " EVERY POSSIBLE SCIENCE FICTION IS A PROBABLE FUTURE "
  2. CONTENTS • What is Artificial Intelligence • Creators of AI • Why AI • First AI Machine • AI Tree • Types of AI • Popular Languages • World in Hands of AI • Currently in Use • Successful Implementation • Conclusion
  3. WHAT IS ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE? • Artificial intelligence (AI) is concerned with building smart machines capable of performing tasks that typically require human intelligence. • AI is an interdisciplinary science with multiple approaches, but advancements in machine learning and deep learning are creating a paradigm shift in virtually every sector of the tech industry.
  4. Interdependency • Artificial Intelligence • Machine Learning • Deep Learning
  5. CREATORS OF AI • John McCarthy - Father of Artificial Intelligence • The modern history of AI can be traced back to the year 1956, when John McCarthy proposed the term as topic for a conference held at Dartmouth College
  6. ALAN TURING • Alan Turing inventor Turing Machine in late 1940's to decode the encrypted messages of Enigma
  7. WHY AI ? • Artificial Intelligence enhances the speed, precision and effectiveness of human efforts • Artificial intelligence makes it possible for machines to learn from experience, adjust to new inputs and perform human-like tasks.
  8. FIRST AI MACHINE • The first working AI programs were written in 1951 to run on the Ferranti Mark 1 machine of the University of Manchester: a checkers-playing program written by Christopher Strachey and a chess-playing program written by Dietrich Prinz. • "Alpha Zero" is a computer program developed by artificial intelligence research company "Deep Mind" to master of the games of chess, shogi and go.
  9. DEEP BLUE • Deep Blue was a chess-playing computer developed by IBM. It was the first computer to win both a chess game and a chess match against a reigning world champion under regular time controls.
  10. AI TREE
  11. TYPES OF AI • Artificial Narrow Intelligence • Artificial General Intelligence • Artificial Super Intelligence
  12. ARTIFICIAL NARROW INTELLIGENCE • ANI is also known as Weak artificial intelligence (weak AI) . • It is artificial intelligence that implements a limited part of mind, or as narrow AI. • It is focused on one narrow task. • In simple words it would be useful for testing hypothesis about minds, but would not actually be minds.
  13. ARTIFICIAL GENERAL INTELLIGENCE • Artificial general intelligence (AGI) is the intelligence of a computer program that has the capacity to understand or learn any intellectual tasks that a human being can perform. • It is a primary goal of some artificial intelligence research and a common topic in science fiction and future studies. • It is the representation of generalized human cognitive abilities in software so that, faced with an unfamiliar task the AI machine could find a solution.
  14. ARTIFICIAL SUPER INTELLIGENCE (ASI) • Artificial super intelligence (ASI), is the hypothetical intelligence that doesn’t just mimic or understand human intelligence and behaviour. • It is where machines become self-aware and surpass the capacity of human intelligence and ability.
  15. POPULAR LANGUAGES USED IN AI • LISP • PYTHON • R • Prolog
  16. WORLD IN THE HANDS OF AI • Artificial intelligence (AI) is changing our way of life, meaning to impersonate human insight by a PC/machine in settling different issues. • AI was intended to defeat more manageable issues like dominating a chess match, language recognition, and picture recovery. • With the innovative headways, AI is getting progressively sophisticated at doing what people do, yet more effectively, quickly, and at a lower cost in tackling complex issues
  17. CURRENTLY IN USE Chart Bot Health Care Data security Social media Today, the world is alluded to Artificial Intelligence. AI has adroned the lifestyle of humans making their lives a cakewalk. To name a few are :

  19. CONCLUSION Artificial Intelligence is the product of both science and myth Artificial Intelligence and technology are one side of the life that always interests and suprises us with the new ideas, topics, innovations, products etc., AI is still not implemented as film depicts(Intelligent robots). However it is for sure that development in this field will change the complete scenario of world now.
