Social groups

  1. 1. By Nazim Miah
  2. 2. How does your mediaproduct presentparticular socialgroups
  3. 3. In my two minutes opening of my movie, it has twosocial groups which are•Young Teenagers•Crime Lord (Boss)
  4. 4. YoungYoung teenagers are presented using more slang words and usually swear whilst Teenagershaving a conversation. The tone of their voice while talking, for example while Raihan(The character who came out of prison) he came out and his friends asked him howhe is and he did talk to them but in a way he is not interested, for example they didnot have much eye contact which signifies that is rude and it’s presented in that way.Whilst the character Raihan is in the phone he immediately uses a swear word. Thisis a common representation of the teenage boys today.
  5. 5. CrimeLord While Moshin was talking to Raihan on the phone, he was much relaxed and calm which shows that he is much mature and he was like Raihan once and now has changed, and when Raihan was talking to him he was in a panic but Moshin didn’t react in the same way. Also Raihans body language shows us he is much more panicky. However Moshins body language is calm and professional as he hardly moves which connotes that he is in control of the situation. Moshin’s costume is very smart and sophisticated. This connotes he is higher class than the other characters and very sophisticated.
  6. 6. SettingsThe background setting for Raihanshows a dirty brick wall whichshows he is from a rough area inLondon. Also shows today’steenagers hang around these sortareas. Where in Moshin’s scenehe is shown with a background ofa business Centre area and highrise flats. In addition to this,Raihan is shown in a secludedurban area that suits his costume
  7. 7. The character Raihan wears a jacket and tracksuit bottoms whichindicates he is a young teenager which most teenagers wear atthis time of age and I also got this idea from the film ‘Anuva Hood’which they are shown as teenagers right next to a estate whichshows that they are in a poor area. This is similar to my videobecause Raihan comes out from the prison and walks off whichcould mean that he came out from somewhere local.
  8. 8. This picture is from the movie ‘Anuva Hood’ which they are in a estatewhich are wearing track suit bottoms and jacket which is similar towhat Raihan wore in the Video which connotes that they arecommunity teenagers, and may be hanging around the area.
  9. 9. Moshin who acted as the boss wore an blazer which makeshim look like he has got power and has higher class by thedialogue that he uses so this an social group, he also worebrown leather gloves to make him look like he is the bossbecause there is an zoom in shot of his cloths and thatimmediately makes us think that his clothing is important asits zoomed in which may also show that what ever he iswearing may be worth looking at as it may be expensivebecause he is the Boss.Whereas there isnt a close up shot of his cloths which mayshow that he is just a normal teenager and may not worthlooking at because all teenagers may wear the same kind ofcloths.
  10. 10.
