  2. 2. Introduction While driving on highway motorist should not exceed maximum speed limit permitted for their vehicle. However accidents keep occurring due to speed violation since the drivers tends to ignore their speedometers. The speed checker will come for the highway traffic police as it will only provide digital display in accordance with a vehicle speed but also sound an alarm if the vehicle exceeds the permissible speed for the highway.

  10. 10. Future development <ul><li>We can direct display speed of vehicle using 8085 microprocessor. </li></ul>

Conclusion <ul><li>Here we implemented the “SPEED CHECKER FOR HIGHWAYS” from point of view of safety on the Mega Highway. </li></ul><ul><li>We feel that if Mega Highway is supported with such an faithful system then it will not only help to maintain the traffic rules but also reduces accidents. </li></ul><ul><li>As circuit is compact & user friendly one man can handle the system efficiently. </li></ul>
