  2. 2. MANGO Mango a fruit widely cultivated in the tropical and subtropical countries of the world. The origin of mango, Mangifera indica, of the family Anacardiaceae, is lost in antiquity. Mango is a popular fruit in Bangladesh. It is a seasonal fruit. We get this fruit only in summer season. Mango is very sweet. Prominent among the elite varieties are Fazlee, Langda, Gopalbogh, Himsagar, Khirsapat, Ashhwina, Khisanbogh, Kuapahadi, Lata Bombai, Foria, Bombai, Kohitoor, Laksmanbhog, Mohanbhog, Misribhog etc.
  3. 3. JACKFRUIT Jackfruit Originally native to the Indian sub-continent, the jackfruit is now widely cultivated throughout the tropical low lands of both hemispheres. Jackfruit is the national fruit of Bangladesh. It is also a seasonal fruit. We get this fruit at summer. This is also sweet and yummy.
  4. 4. LYCHEE Litchi a fruit of Litchi chinensis (family Sapindaceae), consisting of a thin, brittle shell enclosing a sweet, jelly like pulp and a single seed. The original home of litchi is' China. It was introduced to Burma and India by the end of the 17th century. Lychee is also a popular seasonal fruit of Bangladesh. Lychee is a mix of sour and sweet taste. Some are sour and some are sweet. Bangladeshi people love this fruit.
  5. 5. JUJUBE Jujube (baroi)' Jujube is one of the popular fruits in Bangladesh. Everybody like it for its different taste and flavor. Jujube is nutritionally rich. Rich in vitamin A and C. The origin of jujube is the northern part of' India, South- west part of China and midland of Malaysia. Jujube also grown in the arid region of Africa and America.
  6. 6. BANANA Banana (kala) a familiar tropical fruit. From its native southwestern Pacific home, the banana plant spread to India by about 600 BC and later on it spread all over the tropical world. It is possibly the world's oldest cultivated crop. It even spread into the Islands of the Pacific and to the West Coast of Africa as early as 200-300 BC. It’s very popular in Bangladesh.
