  5. 5. GeoSMS <ul><li>Let’s take a look how does it work. It’s very simple to use it. </li></ul>
  6. 6. GeoSMS <ul><li>The main purpose of the application GeoSMS is tracking the position of objects on the surface of the globe using geographic coordinates. The program connects to the GPS module, in which it is equipped with a mobile device, and through it with a system of satellites orbiting the Earth. With this combination is fixed in current geographical location device with an accuracy of 1 m. The geographic coordinates are then sent to the device and displayed on the screen with details: </li></ul><ul><li>Longitude, </li></ul><ul><li>Latitude, </li></ul><ul><li>Altitude. </li></ul>
  7. 7. GeoSMS <ul><li>When an application obtains information about the current position, then places them in a text message and send to the recipient's number previously given. The recipient can thus keep track of the position in which the broadcaster is located. To determine the location of the device on the surface of the earth may now use for example Google Maps . </li></ul>
  8. 8. GeoSMS    The phone must be equipped with a GPS module and work on Symbian OS.

GeoSMS <ul><li>The program refreshes the geographical location of every half minute, and every time check that the elapsed time you want to send another SMS. </li></ul><ul><li>If so, the message is sent with the most current information. </li></ul><ul><li>Otherwise, the program does not take any action beyond read current time to within milliseconds. </li></ul>
  11. 11. GeoSMS <ul><li>Depending on the choice of the next period, sending SMS messages will change the accuracy of the determination of the route traveled by the transmitter. The messages will be sent more often, the observation distance, for example, using Google Maps would be more accurate. </li></ul>

  13. 14. GeoSMS GeoSMS interface is very intuitive.
  14. 15. GeoSMS <ul><li>Remember to set the appropriate method for determining the position of the phone settings. Selecting only the Integrated GPS option provides the geographical coordinates of downloading without paying any fees (the process of determining the position could take longer due to the search for satellites). Choosing additional options for A-GPS ensures you quickly find the currently occupied position, but involves additional charges from the mobile operator. Remember that.    If the interval between two successive SMS messages is longer than 15 minutes, it is recommended to enable A-GPS in the phone settings. It is related to the movement of satellites and dropping signal when the GPS is not used for a long time. GeoSMS turns off the GPS mudule between successive messages, in order to save battery power.    Charges for outgoing SMS messages are consistent with the selected mobile operator's tariff.  </li></ul>
