Jesus in islam

 1. 1. Jesus in Islam by RachidMahdi
Behold! the angels said: "O Mary! Allah giveth thee glad tidings of a Word from Him: his name will be Christ Jesus, the son of Mary, held in honour in this world and the Hereafter and of (the company of) those nearest to Allah; ‪(Aal-i-Imraan: 45)‪ ‬
2. 2. Al Imran3:45-50 ( Quran )
Al-E-Imran(And remember) when the angels said: O Mary! Lo! Allah giveth thee glad tidings of a word from him, whose name is the Messiah, Jesus, son of Mary, illustrious in the world and the Hereafter, and one of those brought near (unto Allah). (45) He will speak unto mankind in his cradle and in his manhood, and he is of the righteous. (46) She said: My Lord! How can I have a child when no mortal hath touched me? He said: So (it will be). Allah createth what He will. If He decreeth a thing, He saith unto it only: Be! and it is. (47) And He will teach him the Scripture and wisdom, and the Torah and the Gospel, (48) And will make him a messenger unto the Children of Israel, (saying): Lo! I come unto you with a sign from your Lord. Lo! I fashion for you out of clay the likeness of a bird, and I breathe into it and it is a bird, by Allah's leave. I heal him who was born blind, and the leper, and I raise the dead, by Allah's leave. And I announce unto you what ye eat and what ye store up in your houses. Lo! herein verily is a portent for you, if ye are to be believers. (49) And (I come) confirming that which was before me of the Torah, and to make lawful some of that which was forbidden unto you. I come unto you with a sign from your Lord, so keep your duty to Allah and obey me. (50) Lo! Allah is my Lord and your Lord, so worship Him.
3. 3. Quran 2:136
Say (O Muslims), "We believe in Allâh and that which has been sent down to us and that which has been sent down to Ibrâhim (Abraham), Ismâ'il (Ishmael), Ishâq (Isaac), Ya'qûb (Jacob), and to Al-Asbât [the offspring twelve sons of Ya'qûb (Jacob)], and that which has been given to Mûsa (Moses) and Isâ (Jesus), and that which has been given to the Prophets from their Lord. We make no distinction between any of them, and to Him we have submitted (in Islâm)."
4. 4. Al Imran 130-133.
Who would deliberately renounce the religion of Abraham except someone who reveals himself to be a fool? We chose him in this world, and in the Hereafter he will be one of the righteous. When his Lord said to him: "Become a Muslim," he [Abraham] said: "I am a Muslim who has submitted to the Lord of all the worlds." Abraham directed his sons to this, as did Jacob: "My sons. God has chosen this religion for you, so do not die except as Muslims." Or were you present when death came to Jacob and he asked his sons: "What will you worship when I have gone?" They said: "We will worship your God, the God of your forefathers Abraham, Ishmael and Isaac – one God. We are Muslims submitted to Him." (Surah Al 'Imran: 130-133
5. 5. One God.
: "It is written: 'Worship the Lord your God and serve Him only.'"(Luke 4:8) Jesus answered.
A teacher of the law came and heard them debating. Noticing that Jesus had given them a good answer, he asked him: "Of all the commandments, which is the most important?
" "The most important one," answered Jesus, "is this:
'Hear, O Israel, the Lord our God, the Lord is One. Love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength.' The second is this: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.' There is no commandment greater than these." "Well said, teacher," the man replied. "You are right in saying that God is One and there is no other but Him." (Mark 12:28-32)
6. 6. 112: Al-Ikhlas
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful:
Say He is Allah, the One! (1) Allah, the eternally Besought of all! (2) He begetteth not nor was begotten. (3) And there is none comparable unto Him. (4)
7. 7. Surat Al Imran:59
The similitude of Jesus before Allah is as that of Adam; He created him from dust, then said to him: "Be". And he was. ‪(Aal-i-Imraan: 59)‪ ‬
8. 8. AlImran:3
It is He Who sent down to thee (step by step), in truth, the Book, confirming what went before it; and He sent down the Law (of Moses) and the Gospel (of Jesus) before this, as a guide to mankind, and He sent down the criterion (of judgment between right and wrong). ‪(Aal-i-Imraan: 3)‪ ‬
9. 9. AlImran:84
Say: "We believe in Allah, and in what has been revealed to us and what was revealed to Abraham, Isma'il, Isaac, Jacob, and the Tribes, and in (the Books) given to Moses, Jesus, and the prophets, from their Lord: We make no distinction between one and another among them, and to Allah do we bow our will (in Islam)." ‪(Aal-i-Imraan: 84)
10. 10. As-Saff: 14
O ye who believe! Be ye helpers of Allah: As said Jesus the son of Mary to the Disciples, "Who will be my helpers to (the work of) Allah?" Said the disciples, "We are Allah's helpers!" then a portion of the Children of Israel believed, and a portion disbelieved: But We gave power to those who believed, against their enemies, and they became the ones that prevailed. ‪(As-Saff: 14)‪ ‬
11. 11. Surat An-Nisaa:171
O People of the Book! Commit no excesses in your religion: Nor say of Allah aught but the truth. Christ Jesus the son of Mary was (no more than) a messenger of Allah, and His Word, which He bestowed on Mary, and a spirit proceeding from Him: so believe in Allah and His messengers. Say not "Trinity" : desist: it will be better for you: for Allah is one Allah: Glory be to Him: (far exalted is He) above having a son. To Him belong all things in the heavens and on earth. And enough is Allah as a Disposer of affairs. ‪(An-Nisaa: 171)‪ ‬
12. 12. Al-Maaida: 116
And behold! Allah will say: "O Jesus the son of Mary! Didst thou say unto men, worship me and my mother as gods in derogation of Allah'?" He will say: "Glory to Thee! never could I say what I had no right (to say). Had I said such a thing, thou wouldst indeed have known it. Thou knowest what is in my heart, Thou I know not what is in Thine. For Thou knowest in full all that is hidden. ‪(Al-Maaida: 116)
13. 13. An-Nisaa: 171
‪(An-Nisaa: 171)
14. 14. Al-Maaida: 110
Then will Allah say: "O Jesus the son of Mary! Recount My favour to thee and to thy mother. Behold! I strengthened thee with the holy spirit, so that thou didst speak to the people in childhood and in maturity. Behold! I taught thee the Book and Wisdom, the Law and the Gospel and behold! thou makest out of clay, as it were, the figure of a bird, by My leave, and thou breathest into it and it becometh a bird by My leave, and thou healest those born blind, and the lepers, by My leave. And behold! thou bringest forth the dead by My leave. And behold! I did restrain the Children of Israel from (violence to) thee when thou didst show them the clear Signs, and the unbelievers among them said: 'This is nothing but evident magic.' ‪(Al-Maaida: 110)
15. 15. As-Saff: 6
And remember, Jesus, the son of Mary, said: "O Children of Israel! I am the messenger of Allah (sent) to you, confirming the Law (which came) before me, and giving Glad Tidings of a Messenger to come after me, whose name shall be Ahmad." But when he came to them with Clear Signs, they said, "this is evident sorcery!" ‪(As-Saff: 6)
16. 16. An-Nisaa: 171
17. 17. Son in the Bible:
Long before Jesus was born, God said to David ( Psalm 2:7 ) : “ I will declare the decree: the Lord said unto me ( David ) , Thou art my Son, this day have I begotten thee. “ is David also a begotten Son ?
The proper meaning of Son in this context is not literal Son but metaphorical. It can be any one who is beloved by God.
Jesus also said that God is not only his Father but also your Father ( Mathew 5:45, 48 ).
18. 18. Was Jesus Crucified ?
The holly Quran states in Surat 4:157 that Jesus was not crucified : “ And their ( Jews ) boasting: We killed Messiah Jesus, Son of Mary, the Apostle of Allah, But they ( the Jews ) kill him not, nor crucified him … “
As far as the doctrine of Atonement and Original Sin , let us examine Deuteronomy 24:16 :
“ The father shall not be put to death for the children, nether shall the children be put to death for the fathers, every man shall be put to death for his own sin . “
In the New testament read Mathew 7:1 -2 also I Corinthians 3:8 “ Now he that planted and he that watered are one, and every man shall receive his own reward according to his own labor. “
19. 19. One God preached by all prophets
The One True God in the Bible (The Old Testament):
Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God is one Lord. ..(Deuteronomy 6: 4)
Has not the One God made and sustained for us the spirit of life ? (Malachi 2: 15)
20. 20. Jesus , a prophet of God
Worship the Lord your God, and serve Him only. (Matthew 4: 10)
Hear O Israel: The Lord our God is One Lord. (Mark 12: 29)
For there is one God and there is one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus. (1Timothy 2: 5)
21. 21. One God , Allah = God in arabic
Not only does the Bible affirm that God is only ONE, but it also reveals that the true God, the Creator, is the only Savior. “Before Me no god was formed, nor shall there be any after Me. I, I am the Lord, and besides Me there is no Savior.” (Isaiah 43:10-11)
22. 22. Allah, The proper Name of the one true God, the Creator. Allah is the true God of all mankind.
Muhammad, The last Prophet of the one true God (Allah).
Islam, Submission to the Will of the Creator, the true God (Allah). One can attain real happiness and peace of mind only through submission and obedience to the true God.
Muslim, One who submits to the Will of the true God, Allah (the Creator).
Qur’an , The Word of God revealed to Prophet Muhammad.
