This document proposes a short film called "Debt of a Mute" about a girl named Poppy who uses music and headphones to cope with social anxiety and avoid social situations. The film would follow Poppy through her daily activities like detention, a coffee shop, and the train station, showing her inner thoughts through music. Poppy's only social connection is her supportive brother Daniel, who gives her a music device to help with her anxiety. The film aims to raise awareness of mental health issues and relate to teens who struggle with similar social anxieties.
3. Why we named it this:
We decided to call our film this as we feel her music is a barrier between her and social
situations, when she does not have her earphones she loses the little confidence that
she had, This affects her as a person and affects her well being I.e why we chose the
first word to be debt.
