TED Talk Evaluation Slide Show By: Rachel Garcia.

  1. 1. Ted TalksThe Myth Of The Gay Agenda By: Rachel Garcia
  2. 2. The speaker that I choose was LZGranderson and the thesis of his speech isto get the audience to understand that weneed Gay Marriage equality.
  3. 3. LZ Granderson captured the attention ofthe audience in his introduction by startingwith a positive attitude with a smile and anice greetable body language this waymaking the audience comfortable, bycommunicating and getting his wordacrossed in a calm, peaceful, and enjoyableway and by this way having everyone havean open mind to what he would be talkingabout.
  4. 4. LZ Granderson maintained theengagement of the audience throughouthis speech by using power points and slideshows and this way he kept his audienceentertained and interested in what he had tosay.
  5. 5. I think that the best TED commandment LZGranderson follows is commandment #4, whichis “Connecting with peoples emotions” I feel likehe really connected with the audience becausehe kept them laughing and entertain and thatway he made sure that they were listening tothe important message he was getting acrossed.I think that he did a great job. One thing that Ithink he could of done different to increase hisdynamism was to use more media andinformation about his topic, but other then thatI think it was a great TED talk.
  6. 6. The tips that were used in this TED talkfrom Garr Reynolds and Nancy Duartewere to make sure that the text had goodcontrast and was clearly seen. And also theprinciple of having a good size simpleimage with as less text as possible.
  7. 7. After watching my presenter I have learned thatit’s very important to have a positive attitude inorder to get my point acrossed in a peaceful andunderstanding way. And also that havingsources you can refer to such as notes, images, power points and many more in order to showand explain things to our audience in a bettermore professional way is a very big part of ourpresentation.
  8. 8. I think that LZ Granderson and Sir Ken Robinsonhave a lot in common in they’re videos by theway they keep the audiences attention in whatthey have to say and what they are talkingabout. And also by the way they use the media, and power points and such to give the audiencea better understanding of they’re topic. But atthe same time they are both very different inthey’re use of words and the way they comeacross to an audience. They both have they’reown original individuality in the way they dothey’re TED videos. They’re both very unique.
  9. 9. I recommend my classmates to pick a topic thatthey love and they are passionate aboutbecause it makes the assignment a lot more funand easier to do. Also to find ways to speak tothe audience in a way that they’ll listen andunderstand. I also recommend to use resourceslike images, notes, media etc. And just to havefun with the assignment enjoy it and do thebest you possibly can.
