RMC Youth Outreach with the Orangewood Children’s Foundation

  1. 1.  RMC Water and Environment was established to address the most pressing issues in California’s water infrastructure through environmentally friendly innovations and high-quality results. In addition to developing state-of-the-art treatment systems, RMC Water and Environment team members also work to support community development on a grassroots level with local organizations such as the Orangewood Children’s Foundation. In September 2014, RMC team members in Irvine came together to support local youth by volunteering in the kitchen at the group's Santa Ana offices.
  2. 2.  The meals went directly to supporting the Foundation's Orangewood Resource Center (ORC). The ORC provides food, clothing, and career development resources to emancipated foster youths. Established to support foster teens with nowhere to turn to after reaching age 18, it is an invaluable resource in helping teens pursue an education and an independent lifestyle.
  3. 3.  Since 1981, 201(c)3 nonprofit the Orangewood Children’s Foundation has been dedicated to providing children from foster backgrounds with the resources to develop independent living skills. More than 35,000 cases of child abuse are reported throughout the region each year, and approximately 10% of the most severe cases are admitted to the Orangewood Children and Family Center (formerly the Orangewood Children’s Home).
