Set overlooking the un-spoilt village of Seillans, this wonderful building, which was once a fort dating back to the 8th century was enlarged in the 12th century and has now been faultlessly restored to make a stunning home offering all modern comforts and convenience.
Driving northwest from Cannes there are several hilltop villages of which Seillans is continually voted one of the prettiest. In 1870 the chateau was occupied by the Countess de Savigny whose perfume factory in the hills behind the village gave employment to many local people, the factory was closed down only a couple of years ago but the town still celebrate her birthday with a mass in the local church. Queen Victoria is said to have been a periodic visitor to the Chateau.
