  1. 1. How to set Custom Ringtone in Widows 8 phone Here we will guide you to set custom ringtone for calls, voicemail, reminders, text messages, alerts etc in your windows 8 phone. Follow the steps carefully to employ this in your phone.
  2. 2. Copy the Ringtone in your Phone Memory First copy the ringtone into your phone memory. Connect your mobile phone to your PC and copy the ringtone file from computer to phones “Ringtone” folder. Make sure that you copied the ringtone in the appropriate folder otherwise you can’t use your custom tone in phone.
  3. 3. Disconnect your phone from computer after copying the desired file or files into your phone Ringtone folder. Now go to “Settings” and you can access “settings” from your live tile or app list.
  4. 4. Make sure that “System Tab” is displayed on the setting screen. Now scroll down and you will find the option “ringtone + sound”.
  5. 5. Now in the ringtone screen you are able to set different sound or tones for calls, text, email, voicemail and reminders. Choose your preferred one and continue.
  6. 6. Your custom tone should be detected and placed at top of the list in your phone. You may scroll up to watch it. You could preview the tone by taping the play button. To set the tone as active, tap on the name of the tone.
